If you’re searching for your next reality TV obsession, look no further than “60 Day Hustle,” a new show on Amazon Prime Video that takes you on a journey with budding entrepreneurs as they try to transform their businesses in 60 days.
In partnership with Sonic Gods Studios, Vimeo is excited to have a small part in the competition that pits 12 young business owners against each other with a number of brand-building challenges and the chance to win a life-changing prize worth $200,000.
Our full-service video platform was brought in to help the 60 Day Hustle contestants create videos, organize content, and go live. In a fiercely competitive consumer landscape, capturing customers’ attention and communicating your brand value is essential — and Vimeo’s user-friendly tools make creating compelling video content easy for these first-time business owners.
What they were up against
In two separate challenges, contestants were tasked with creating a 60-second brand video one week and hosting a 10-minute live-streamed product launch the next week. This is no small feat for a lot of entrepreneurs who likely have never produced a video before or may be nervous about pitching their product live for 10 minutes straight.
The show introduces a diverse group of contestants with business ventures ranging from travel guides to chickpea breakfast products to hair extensions and dinosaur-themed kids’ apparel. Viewers get to see brand videos and product launches with various creative directions that are limited by time, resources, and technical know-how.
How Vimeo helped get it done
With only a week to create their brand videos, the contestants scrambled to come up with concepts, nail their brand story, secure an influencer endorsement, and shoot and edit the video. Our entrepreneurs also needed a reliable live-streaming service that could connect them with customers and prospects for the product launch.
Vimeo came through with an intuitive editing platform that made at least one aspect of the brand video less intimidating. And, our live-streaming tools were there for the product launch every step of the way, providing online registration pages for the event and ensuring a smooth streaming experience for everyone who watched. Most importantly, Vimeo’s tools helped the entrepreneurs come across professionally and do what they came there to do: sell.
Below, you can watch how Niki and Tiffany from travel-guide company Went There, Loved That use Vimeo to edit multiple clips together and add text to video to create inspiring content for their social media accounts.
The results
Who won each challenge? You’ll just have to watch to find out.
What we can tell you is that each contestant walked away with a brand video they were proud of and lots of live-stream $$$ in their pockets.
“We love Vimeo because it helps us not only organize our content, but saves us a ton of time in planning and scheduling things. It’s a seamless transition from us editing to getting it up online.”
The live-streamed product launches were a success, with contestant Dario Civan of The Dinostorus bringing in $7,660 in 10 minutes and the dynamic duo from Went There, Loved That bringing in $4,269 during their 10-minute live event.
