Lead Global People Business Partner - Product and Engineering
As a Global People Business Partner for Product and Engineering, you will be a strategic partner supporting our global Product and Engineering teams. Your role will work closely with functional senior leadership to align their people strategies with business objectives, drive organizational effectiveness, and enhance employee engagement within these critical functions. This role requires a deep understanding of the tech industry and a proactive approach to addressing complex people issues on a global scale.
What you’ll do:
- Strategic People Leadership:
- Partner with senior leaders in Product and Engineering to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals.
- Provide insights and recommendations on organizational design, talent management, and workforce planning to optimize performance and growth.
- Drive HR initiatives that support the global product and engineering teams, including talent acquisition, employee development, and succession planning.
- Employee Relations and Engagement:
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, addressing complex employee relations issues and ensuring a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, retention, and satisfaction within the Product and Engineering functions.
- Lead efforts to foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, aligning with the company's core values and objectives.
- Talent Management and Development:
- Collaborate with leaders to identify talent gaps and develop strategies for talent acquisition, development, and retention.
- Oversee the performance management process, providing guidance on goal setting, feedback, and development plans.
- Implement and manage global training programs to build leadership capabilities and technical skills within the Product and Engineering teams.
- Change Management:
- Support the business through organizational change, including restructuring, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
- Develop and execute change management plans to effectively communicate and implement changes across global teams.
- Compliance and Best Practices:
- Ensure compliance with local and international employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Stay abreast of HR trends and best practices, applying them to enhance HR programs and services.
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Utilize HR metrics and analytics to drive decision-making and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on key HR metrics, including turnover rates, employee engagement scores, and talent development progress.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with other functional and global HR Business Partners and our Centers of Excellence (COE’s) which include Talent, Compensation and Benefits, Learning and Development, and Diversity and Inclusion, to ensure cohesive HR practices.
- Partner with global HR colleagues to share best practices and drive consistency across regions.
Skills or knowledge you should possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, (or equivalent experience) or a related field; Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on supporting technical and engineering functions. Proven track record in a global HR business partner role.
- Deep understanding of the technology and engineering sectors, including trends, challenges, and best practices.
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with senior leaders.
- Proven problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Experience with global HR systems, processes, and compliance.
- High level of integrity, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Targeted Base Salary Range: $117,000.00 to $178,000.00
The base salary range listed above is for candidates located in the U.S., including the New York City metro area.
